CHURCHES
SCHOOLS
The ratio of student to teacher is 12.3. Many changes in the curriculum are taking place due to the new state standards and assessments. The school district curriculum is diverse in nature preparing students with life long skills affording them numerous options upon graduation such as directly entering the workforce, military service, technical vocational college or a four year institution. The small towns make up the fabric of our state, and surely the public school system in theses small towns provide the very thread tying the community together. This is especially evident in the Boyceville Community School system where parents and community members are visible partners in its society of learners. Volunteers, numbering in the hundreds in any given year act as tutors, mentors, coaches, Junior Achievement instructors, special task force and committee members, as well as serving on strategic planning and site-based decision making councils to name a few. Through the efforts of these many volunteers, we have created a school culture that embraces collaborative efforts to improve student achievement and strengthen home-school partnerships. The mission of the Boyceville Community School District, as a partner with
family and community, is to provide a high quality education in which students
gain respect for themselves, others, and their surroundings and develop a
desire for excellence while learning the skills to become contributing members
of a global society.
